Offering Solutions to Urban Sustainable Development! 2023 International Symposium on Resilient Citie

On December 9, as one of the important activities of the 2023 World Summit of Young Scientists, the 2023 International Symposium on Resilient Cities & The 23rd Annual General Meeting of UK-CARE (hereinafter referred to as the “Symposium”) was held in Cangnan County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with branch events at Shenyang University and Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. The event was organized under the theme of “Urban-rural integration and sustainable development of resources and environment, making cities more resilient and villages more affluent.” Under the theme of “Making Cities More Resilient, Making Villages More Affluent!”, the event brought together academicians, experts, scientific and technological elites, and entrepreneurs from all over the world to discuss the use of interdisciplinary approaches to build safe, green, and livable digital resilient cities, and to help integrate urban and rural areas with sustainable development of resources and environment. The symposium saw the inauguration of the CAFES. It is reported that the center will focus on artificial intelligence, new materials, new energy, future biotechnology and other future technologies to provide science-driven solutions to accelerate sustainable development.
