I. INTRODUCTION

At the Summit of the Future held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on September 22-23, world

leaders adopted the "Pact for the Future," including a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future

Generations as annexes, which stands as a landmark declaration that commits to concrete actions aimed at

forging a safer, more peaceful, sustainable, and inclusive world for future generations.

As a global entity, the Global Young Academy (GYA) actively engages in numerous domains associated with the

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), striving to enhance awareness and facilitate participation among its

members in science-based policy and global initiatives. This includes active participation in meetings for the

implementation and monitoring of the SDGs, as well as providing science-informed policy advice to policymakers

and international scientific organizations. The GYA Members were also present during the United Nations Summit

of the Future Action Days, contributing to the shaping of the Pact for the Future.

In alignment with the UN's "Pact for the Future" and the Decade of Action for Sustainable Development, the

Global Young Academy (GYA), the International Research Center for Big Data for Sustainable Development

Goals (CBAS), China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation, the WYSS Global π Community, and the Qingke Museum of Natural History propose to co-host the "2024 Global Young Academy Asian Event - Global π Roundtable 2024" from November 28 to 30, 2024, in Wenzhou, China. This event will focus on four sustainability themes: "Biodiversity," "Resilient Cities," "Sustainable Development

Resources," and "Basic Science and Public Communication." Furthermore, this gathering aims at empowering

young individuals to foster the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals through education,

research, and practical engagement.
